  • Dear Hiring Manager,

    I am writing to apply for the teaching position at your school. My name is Waqar Talib, and I am currently completed my master\'s degree in engineering at Donghua University in China. I also held a degree in mechanical engineering from a top engineering university in Pakistan and have completed a 120-hour TEFL certificate course.

    With a TOEIC English Language Exam score of 920 out of 990, equivalent to an IELTS score of 8, I am an advanced level English speaker. Additionally, I have 8+ years of experience teaching physics to K-12 students, most recently as the senior teacher of physics at the Beacon House School System.

    My teaching philosophy is centred around eliciting, where I first get to know my students internally and work on their weaknesses and goals. I teach my students to set SMART goals and make my classes dynamic, fun, interesting, and creative. I tailor my approach to teaching physics and mathematics by drawing on my engineering background to create 3D imaginations of each physics topic.

    Furthermore, I am a native Urdu speaker and currently learning Chinese as my third language, and I enjoy engaging with different cultures. I see myself as a friend to my students who can listen and teach, rather than just a teacher who teaches.
